Like dogs or truly believe dogs can help people with Mental Health Conditions 

• Interested in empowering people with Mental Health Conditions to live fulfilling lives

• Interested in assessing the suitability of applicants for a Guides for the Mind Assistance Dog Programme

  • Interested in assisting people with Mental Health Conditions to identify their support needs and disabling symptoms and the possible tasks their dogs may be able to be trained to do to mitigate these symptoms 

• Interested in providing emotional support to people with disabling Mental Health Conditions as they undertake the Guides for the Mind Assistance Dog Programme

  • Interested in facilitating questionnaires and interviews with people on the Guides for the Mind Assistance Dog Programme to evaluate the programme and measure the impact of having a trained Guides for the Mind Assistance Dog on the lives of their Disabled Handler 

• Willing to take further training where necessary, including Disability and Mental Health Awareness Training

• Based in Hampshire or in travelling distance to Southampton
